  • Many banks and credit unions, including USAA, release pay funds to their customers one business day earlier than the official payday. They do this as a courtesy to their customers. Other banks do not have an official policy of releasing funds early but often do it anyway. Also, many banks are unable to physically process all their payments at exactly the same moment. This means your neighbor or friend might get paid before or after you, even if you use the same bank.
