Can a yeast infection cause you to have white thick discharge ? does it smell ?

Yes and sometimes. If it is a foul, fish like odor you could have BV. Sometimes bacterial vaginosis can be mistaken for a YI. The best thing you can do is go to the drugstore and get some test strips that will test to see if it is bacterial or fungal so you know how to treat it. Obviously getting seen would be better if you are not familiar with what you have.

Ya know....Only a Doctor can tell you for sure. The description is yukkky. That won't help us find out what your problem is. All it does is nauseate.
If only people would Google their symptoms or, better yet,call their Doctor, maybe we wouldn't have to be nauseated by the descriptions of discharges, bumps, pains,etc. in the crotch area.

yes it does. You can get those test strips yourself at any drug store to check the PH balance. Sometime yeast can mimic bact vaginatis.
Yeast is usually odorless or a bread like smell and itches a lot but usually the discharge is thick like cottage cheese and white. Burning and soreness may occur as well. If it turns green or yellow, maybe something else
