I asked my DH to watch a movie with me...

but instead he turned on his PS3 and decided to play a video game. I just wanted to spend some time together :(. He hurt my feelings (damn pregnancy hormones!). Has your DH ever done something like this?

  • No he doesn't, but he's probably the exception to almost any stereo type about men... I am just waiting to find out he's a serial killer. Lol...

  • my DH is pretty considerate & sweet. But, if there is something he'd rather do...he'll just tell me that he'd rather do this instead of watch a movie. it does not hurt my feelings, i tell him that i can take a rain check.

But, we do spend lots of quality time together. If we never did, i could see how that would hurt your feelings.

We'll both sit there & watch each other play video games, we egg each other on & help each other out. I'm better than he is, so he needs my help...hahaha....

  • Yep, he has totally neglected me for his video games before. I have sat there all day wanting to get out and go somewhere with him while he played his game. We decided to come to an agreement about his game usage, so now he's better about it. Most of the time I don't care, but when it starts dominating the whole day every day, it becomes a problem. Maybe you should talk with him?

  • Not really, if I ask him to watch a movie he'll watch it if its something he wants to watch. If he doesn't want to watch it he'll say he doesn't want to watch it and we'll either find a movie we both want to watch or find something else to do together. I'm fine watching him play his games while I talk trash about how he's playing, the best moment ever was when he played a fighting game with our 5 year old DD and she kicked his ass lmao! I immediately called his dad and when answered I said "Guess who just kicked your son's ass" and DH tried to grab the phone because he knows his parents, or I, will ever let him live that down. He also knew it would only be a matter of time before his brothers heard about it too.

  • Yep! I don't have to worry about other women because he's always at home on the game when he's not working. I hate it too because if I want to watch a movie, he'll sit next to me in an attempt to please me, and next thing I know he's snoring...loudly.
