What would you charge?

I'm trying to help my young single brother out with a place to stay for a bit till he gets his own, we figure he needs to pay for food he eats but don't know what would be a good weekly price.

  • depends on how often he is home.. I would say about 3-5 per meal per day.. if he is only home for dinner every day I would say about 25-30.. Does he eat alot or snack alot? I would tack on more.. GL!

  • Why not just give him a % of the food to buy?

  • i spend $100/wk for our family of 3, op. chances are your bro isn't going to be home every meal, but seems to me a good figure would be around $25/35, depending on how much he eats/snacks. if he's working fulltime, he can't be snacking you out of groceries!

  • Charging him just for food $50.00 seems very fair and reasonable..

  • I think 50. is fair enough. He would spend a lot more than that if he eat out.

  • I two kids in my home and myself (single mom), and we do not even eat $400 worth of food a month. What is your grocery budget each week right now?
