  • admittedly that was how i got my middle daughter to transition from crib to toddler bed at around 20 months. the cup only had water in it though. now she's 29 months and completely broken of the habit, and sleeps like a rock in her bed! i wouldn't suggest putting anything but water in a nighttime sippy cup if you're going to do it at all.

  • I used to let my son have water in the bed but when we wanted to start potty training we had to stop having drinks about an hour before bed

  • please only put water in the babe's cup.. we did the stupid "it wont happen to me" stuff with my oldest and she got bottle rot from her cup having juice or milk in it at night. we have to have 4 of her teeth surgically removed and 4 capped.. worst day ever and I still feel like a jerk 3 almost 4 years later

  • Yes she does have water in there but I dont what we will do when she potty trains (something that has proven difficult with her) bc she gets up at least once every single night to get sips of water sometimes like five times!

  • i used to put water, thank god i did! i would find there sippy cups hidden under the bed. they stopped taking sippy's to bed at 14 months. but that was their choice.
