What activities you suggest when traveling with a toddler?

  • coloring, audio books, portable dvd player to watch movies, favorite toys, taking a nap : )

  • The blog Chasing Cherrio's and maybe the Crafty Crow have ideas for an activity box to take when you are traveling. You might want to search for traveling games, is the toddler old enough for iSpy games?

  • kid friendly car music. 1st person to spot things(airplanes, flags, etc.) Count the yellow cars.

  • your best bet would be to drive overnight while the kids are usually asleep. it always worked for me. i was stationed 800 miles from my parents and we would drive it like that often. i got the idea from CM. lol.

  • dvd player....i just made a an 18hr drive with a one and two yr old. i drove it twice. driving at night helps a lot bc theyll go to sleep. but my kids were amazed that there was cartoons in the car lol

  • portable DVD player, magna doodle, coloring book, dolls or figurines, snacks like baggies of dry cereal, dried fruits and juice boxes, picture books to look at and a pillow and blanket if they decide to take a nap.
