  • we just got a settlement around that amount, planned to pay off all of our debts (except the house) then Hubby got laid off two weeks later. Sooooo glad we left it sitting in the bank while we were trying to decide how to spend it. Now we plan to use it to pay for the house for as long as we need to, unemployment doesn't cover much.....

  • Pay in advance for preschool for next year. Put in a new driveway. Pay off some bills & put the rest in savings.

  • i would buy a cheep house and give my grandma 2,000 and use 1500 or a new car i would pu the other 7 or so thousand back in A cd for my 2 kids for collage and let it build until they are 25...
