How can I help her keep her glasses clean?

my 5 year-old DD has glasses and it never fails, she is always getting them so dirty she can't see through them while at school and takes them off.

I've talked to the teacher and she says there is no bullying DD just doesn't like her glasses dirty and won't take the time to clean them..

Help, anyone?

  • I bribed my 6 yr old into making it a habit lol. For every day she remembered to clean her glasses after school lunch, she could have 1 cookie with her snack after school. Took her about 2 weeks to remember every day, but she never forgets now.

  • Buy some little clothes, give her a case, and make it routine to clean them nightly.

  • I have the same problem with my 6 year old...the best I have been able to do is clean them every time I walk past her...

  • it's at school though, I'm not there and rather than clean them she just stuffs them in her desk or backpack until later. she has the cloths that are to clean them at school but doesn't use them.

  • Oooh she would rather not wear them at all? I am so sorry! I am glad that is not our issue. My daughter will just wear them dirty but she never takes them off bc her opthamologist told her it would damage her eyes if she went without them...she is a very nervous child...
