Could you date someone significantly older than you? What's your limit?

  • ten years in my limit, my parents and I are 20 years apart and I won't go more than half their age. SO is 5 years older and just perfect!

  • When I was 21 I was dating someone that was 42 all was really good until he let it slip that he was married (mind you I had been to his house and even spent the night I really had no clue). I got up left as soon as he let it slip and never talked to him again. He had mentioned us getting married etc. I didn't see the age as an issue.

  • I have dated men up to 20 years older than me. If there's a mutual attraction between consenting adults I don't see the issue. Though normally the significantly older men turned out to be very immature.

  • I'm 10 yrs younger than my SO, but I would go older than that, maybe 15 yrs.
