Baby Names

I like unique baby names and my husband likes common names...Any ideas to maybe combine them both? We are not pregnant yet just looking for ideas

  • Try something that is "old fashioned". This way it willbe something that you don't hear very ofter (unique) but no something "weird". DD is Annabel. Everyone knows how to say it, but it's not something you hear everyday. Also her nickname is Bella. You could try a more common style name with a unique nickname

  • We went with a name that was unique in that it was not in the top 500 names for the previous year. DS is Carl and DD is Quinn. It was our compromise. WE have never met another child my DS age named Carl and never met another girl DD age named Quinn. WE have met on e boy her age who's name was Quinton and went by Quin.

  • I like common names. My kids are named Brooke Elaine, Mason Lucas. And if #3 is a girl her name will be Ashlynn Olivia, not sure if its a boy though!!

  • Our compromise with a boy was going to be his 1st name would be old fashioned, and his middle name would be unique. Then we would call him by his middle name as a nickname. My SO's main concern was his name wouldn't sound proffesional.
