  • we had a cat pee on our bed before. We took a carpet cleaner and shampooed the mattress

  • put baking soda on the spot. Let it sit for awhile then brush off. Then I would get a good fabric cleaner and spray it and clean it. My dd wets the bed sometimes. I got a good waterproof mattress cover. Target and Wal-Mart carry them. They are no longer just plastic sheets.

  • Buy a new one. They sell plastic covers for mattresses too.

  • Okay, now you have heard all the expensive quick ways.
Fill a spray bottle half and half with white vinegar and water and spray the pee area going over about two inches all around. If you can take it outside that would be best, but you can open all the windows in the room and let it air dry.

The acid in the vinegar "eats" the bacteria that causes the smell. You can also spray your dog with this mix and keep fleas off.
