  • Getting the list of weekly movies for the free daytime movies, our library has a summer reading program to track their books, pool everyday!! and we'll do some crafts (Michael's has some great inexpensive stuff, homemade playdough, cooking, etc.)

  • We go on a long road trip, mostly just me and the kids. DH will join us for part of it. Then we'll go camping, ride bikes, take walks. They also like to help me with gardening which is good because we have a huge home garden plus 3 plots in a community garden which we helped to found. We are also working on food drives and growing for those less fortunate.

  • Nothing. I don't feel it's my job to keep my kids from getting bored. That's their job. They have friends and toys and a park down the street. We're hoping to get them bikes this summer (had to leave their old ones when we moved). They usually find something to do otherwise I find chores to keep them busy and not bored.
I like summer for it's lazy days. We have no plans, no activities, no schedule.
