Plan A Preschool Picnic!

What should I feed these kids??
Should I have just cold, easy-to-eat stuff? Sandwiches, chips, fruits, veggies?
Or should I add in a few hot things too? Beans & weenies, mac & cheese, chicken drumsticks?
What would you serve 15ish preschoolers in the middle of the day???

  • PB&J, chips, bananas, and juice... maybe some animal cookies for dessert?

  • I would go with easy foods that don't require adult help to eat. Sandwiches are always good or if you wanted to do something hot take an English muffin and slice in half and top with pizza toppings and bake at 350 for 10 minutes or until cheese is bubbly. You could even let the kids put their own toppings on to feel like they helped. Cut up fruit and veggies are also easy options.

  • Dessert will be design-your-own cookies, because we're burnt out on cupcakes. It's for DD's birthday party (her actual day was Sunday, so we've already gone through the motions of cake). Might look into PB&J, maybe find a new sandwich shape thing. Not too keen on hot dogs or pizzas, since I'd have to be in the kitchen to get them done...I want stuff that will make and keep, not that I have to prepare just before or during the party. Thanks though!
