  • No. Eating earlier is better for everyone. You gain more weight when you eat later in the evenings. Our family actually has dinner between 4-5pm because of my husbands schedule, and our after school schedules. Generall the kids come home around 2-2:30, we do some homework, down time for them while I start dinner, and hubby is home by 4ish. We eat, go to practice or a ball game which ever happens to be going on. Then home around 7-9 pm and bed after their baths.

  • LOL...i used to have supper ready around that time only because hubby gets off at 4:30 and gets home around 5. At MIL's they eat around 6 which i think is too late, your suppose to eat early so that you can burn some of it off. I think 6 is late probably because i've always made dinner around 5, idk. My friend made dinner around 7 or so and i think that is WAY to late! but she does have a good point of how someone could go the rest of the night not to get hungry hours after i guess that is why you have late night snacks.

  • 5 is GREAT. I wish we ate that early. It's usually 6:30 for us, for that's when DH is home for dinner. On weekends we go with 4:30 or 5.

  • I start dinner at 4pm (when the kids get home from school) and we eat at 5pm. They get no other food after dinner and bedtime is 8pm.

We've been doing it that way for as long as I can remember.
