  • My asthma wasn't a problem, but I only have one trigger for it. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist to see if you should change your medication while pregnant.

  • I had 2 c-sections with asthma. There were no complications during or after the surgery. While I was pregnant I discontinued the medication I used to take, but was allowed to use my inhaler and cortico-steroids. The only problem was when I was pregnant with dd #2 and caught a cold which turned into a major respiratory infection. I have to say that my asthma symptoms turned from severe to mild after I had my 2nd girl.Try not to worry-it only worsens symptoms.Everything will go fine as long as you follow your doctor's advice.

  • Just to throw this out there.......if you want to save ur kiddo from your same concerns later in life, breastfeeding your baby reduces the chances it will have asthma by 50%.
