How much should I be feeding my 6 month old?

He gets 4 oz formula with a quarter cup or more of rice cereal, mixed with half a jar of baby food- generally he gets that once twice-and today three times. In between feedings he gets 6 oz of formula. (Sometimes 8oz) Am I doing this right? So I think he's getting 24 oz a day.
