Celebrities

I remember as a teen, friends and I had our love of celebrities, from posters on the walls, to collecting everything they had out, to following, sometimes imitating their life.
Now as an adult I hardly notice anything about the celebrities.
One of my coworkers follows one singer to what is like obsessively, she is in her 50’s.
She has pics of him at work, framed pics at home and keeps updated on his life, even becomes insulted if we put him down.

Do you still have habits of following them as you did in your teen years?

  • I get this rush of nostalgia when I hear that the Backstreet Boys are singing on some show on T.V. I used to be a total loser for them, I would clip magazine pictures and tape whenever they were on TRL.

  • Hmmm, is your co-worker single? I've had older single female friends obsess publically over certain celebrities. I've rarely seen it in women who have other people in their lives for whom they are either responsible for or are in an adult relationship with.
