I have Windows xp and am trying to get silverlight to watch movies on line through comcast. It staes not supported and wont let me!!! Are there any alternatives??? Do I need to download something else?? I can't find any answers online, help please!!!
The system requirements for Microsoft Silverlight and associated technologies are listed below.
Note that Microsoft no longer supports XP Windows
* Operating System: Windows 7,Windows Vista; Windows XP Service Pack 2 * Intel® Pentium® III 450MHz or faster processor (or equivalent) * 128MB of RAM You need service pack 2 installed - Right click on the c drive and check general to see if SP2 is there.
Try to download version 4 of silver light
Just be careful

Because of this http://www.pcworld.com/article/172596/how_to_upgrade_from_xp_to_windows_7.html the best bet is to get a new system. I have an XP, Vista and now Windows 7, the first two are no longer supported and are 32bit . The system I have now is a combo of 32 and 64bit . The issues you might have is some programs will not run on 64bit. At some point I will get a full 64bit system.
