Has allergies my doctor said Claritan was ok to take. I wonder what else is ok to do. I just rather not take it.

  • Claritan, Zyrtec and Allegra are all safe to take while pregnant according to our daughter's doctor. She has developed allgeries with pregnancy.

  • Salt water gargle is amazing. Kills bacteria in the back of your throat and washes out yucky flem.

  • here is what i found online:

    Anti-histamines. Older anti-histamines, such as chlorpheniramine and tripelennamine, are the preferred agents to treat allergic rhinitis during pregnancy, and are both category B medications. Newer anti-histamines such as over-the-counter loratadine (Claritin®/Alavert® and generic forms) and prescription cetirizine (Zyrtec®) are also pregnancy category B medications.

  • If you aren't already taking a fish oil supplement, you should definitely add it to your daily regimen. It can help with inflammation from allergies PLUS it has healthy Omega 3's for building baby's brain!
