What exactly is that FRESH smell you get on clothes dried on a clothesline?

No matter what detergent you use,its the same smell!

  • It is the fresh air, what's great is when you can hang them after a nice rain, you get an awesome smell, or even hanging then in the rain, they're wet anyways so no harm there, as long as it's not a multi-day rain lol.

  • What you're smelling might be ozone. Although I hang dry our clothes, I can't hang them outside to dry because of DH's severe pollen allergies, so I don't know what clothes dried outside smell like.
