Rash on cheeks

Hey ladies. I was wondering if anyone could help me. My 2 year old has had a rash on his cheeks for about 2 months now. It enflames when he's running around or in the heat. It's dry, red and bumpy. I asked the pediatrician and she just said to put Eucerin on it for 2 days and it should go away... well we did that and it's still there, sometimes redder sometimes just bumpy. Any ideas? We haven't changed detergents either. Thanks girls.

  • Thanks ladies. Im calling in the morning. Hopefully she can tell me more this time. If not maybe ill try a dermatologist. I tried eucerin and a benadryl gel that says diphenhydramine and hydrochloride on it. It took the redness away but it comes right back the next day.

  • I agree with cleanaturalady....hydrocortisone cream would be a good idea to try. Calling the doctor is a good idea too. Good luck.

  • im pretty sure its not slap cheeks, sometimes kids get red cheeks but yeah take him to the drs, if she gives no answers ask for a dermatologist refferal (if needed) and ask questions there. try the creams that could help
