Strange book

the kids in my dd high school are reading "the hunger games"

Have you read this book? Your kids?

I've started reading it, I'm on chapter 18, I hear there are three books and they're making a movie.

What do you think of this book? very strange...

I've never read a book like this. I haven't read Harry Potter or any Vampier books nor seen the movies.
