  • Chromium is needed because your body's natural insulin-balancing system works best when it is present. It improves carbohydrate metabolism and helps control blood sugar levels. It may help even out sugar-induced mood swings and perhaps even sugar cravings. High sugar intake actually depletes the body of chromium. Usually between 200-400 mcg, in divided doses, improves your cells' ability to use insulin. Keep in mind that both stress and infection increase the amount of chromium required for good health.

  • Please read up on some actual studies and talk to your doc about this... the BEST way to control your blood sugar is thru DIET and exercise!!!!!

  • I agree w/Crafty26, diet/exercise is best but if you're already doing both, talk to your doctor about how/if chromium can help.
