  • yes you can get pregnant during your period - its rare but it happens. it seems like you are trying to ask about how pregnancy dating is done in the second part - is that correct?

  • Yes you can, we were taught this in school, I can't remember how exactly, but it's very possible.

  • Even if for some miracle the sperm pass through the blood and fluids of the menstrual period through the uterus canal to the fallopian tubes, the sperm might not find an ovule to fertilize since the ovule goes down only after a few days after your period has ended. If the conception happens during your period it would mean that your body functions abnormally. Abnormally meaning that you are out of what is considered normal.

  • Anon doesn't speak sense! You can pretty much get pregnant any time of the month if our having unprotected sex.

Answer by kylie_bob at 6:57 AM on May. 20, 2011

  • Just because you had sex during your ovulation time doesn't guarantee pregnancy. If you started your regular average flow period then you need to be prepared to try again next month. If it is just spotting and it doesn't as then there is a chance.... As far as having sex during your period and getting pregnant goes : anything is possible. any time you have unprotected sex you 'risk' pregnancy. It may not be as likely but the chance is always there.

  • And with a 2 1/2 week long period it may be time to see a gyno so they can figure out why and help you get on track to conceive.

Answer by But_Mommie at 8:02 AM on May. 20, 2011

  • It is possible

  • You can only get pregnant when your body releases an egg. Now if that should happen during your period then yes. There are onnly 72 hours in which said egg is ideal for conception though.
