Be a millionaire day

In one of my groups someone posted a silly that to day was national "be a millionaire day" and that we should take today to review our finances.

But it is easier than people think to be a millionaire.... on paper.  If you add up your retirement accounts, college accounts, equity in your home, etc.  You could be a millionaire on paper.

How many ladies think they will ever hit that and when?

?

  • well it is on paper... I dont know how "easy" it makes anything. It isnt liquid... just accessible in some way.  Doesnt mean you would be rolling in it... it would be on paper.

  • We've got assets that on paper MIGHT eventually add up to a million but in this economy we'd NEVER realize anything near a million if we liquidated everything.

  • I'm quite certain we'll hit that status some day. When... depends on our income. Right now we're both still in school- so at this rate I'd say maybe by the time we retire. BUT I'm assuming our income will be going up once we're out of school- so probably 20 more years?
