  • Because their interests grew bigger and their bodies were strong enough not to need one.

  • Just cause my son is two and thinks he doesn't need one anymore, but he's miserable by 5PM and I have two hours of nonstop whining because he's overtired. But when I put him down for a nap he just cries to get out for an hour. We have people living below us or I'd let him cry it out but we've already gotten two complaints.

  • Different ages for my little ones. I had one that needed them until she was 3. And another one that stopped as early as a year. The youngest one never sleeps and it is starting to drain me.

  • #1 was 2
    #2 was about 4
#3 was still taking a few naps a week when she started kindergarten, she stopped because she was in school full day at 5 1/2
    #4 was about 3 1/2
    #5 is only 10 months

My oldest I still required to have quiet time for an hour every day at nap time because #2 and #3 napped at that time. She hasn't napped since she was 2 unless she is sick or stays up all night at a sleep over (she's almost 11). She takes maybe 2-3 napes a year. She's just the kind of person that doesn't need naps.

  • My dd stopped napping at 1... She simply refused to nap! But she wasn't cranky or anything, so I suppose she didn't need one anymore.
