Annoying nick names!

MY mom and other relatives call my son ri-ri instead of his name.
It's so annoying. When people ask him what his name is he say riri but peoPle. Think he is saying
Wi-wi. She comes to visit once every 5 weeks and I will have him saying his real name but then she stars calling him bat so he goes back to hay. I've asked her to stop but she says she can't remeber to call him by his real name .'ugh annoying

  • Lol...I've been going through that my whole name is Monique but my whole entire family calls me either Moe, or MoMo...once a nickname is established, thats pretty much the end of it lol....he'll be fine once he gets in school but this is a battle you may lose on the homefront...after 27 years of asking my family to call me least in public lol...I finally just gave up lol

  • It bugs me when the nick names are dumb like my stepdaughter has a 6 yr old, Brice, but the kid gets called Bricey
by the people on his dad's side. They think it's cute and it's really not

  • I think it is really stupid when I see a middle aged man and people call him Bobby or Jimmy or Mikey or something like that. Same with women. Use your name! You are a grown up for goodness sakes!

I call my son sweetpea around the house. I'm sure he hates it, but he would never tell me because he wouldn't want to hurt my feelings. But I would never say that in front of other people.

  • I agree though i don't have a little boy yet (we have the big scan next month) we have picked out a boys name (lukas) and my FIL has told me if i didn't change the spelling then he will only address our son as Luck a$$ and with my daughter who's name is kyleigh dh an i call her Ky Ky which most of the family has adopted but my MIL insist on calling her kiki (Kee Kee) drives me nuts
