Are Yorkies just naturally needy?

I have a 7 month old yorkie puppy and she follows me everywhere and then stands there and stares at me when I'm not moving around and if I am sitting in a chair where she can't be on my lap then she bites at my feet or runs around the house really fast like she is trying to make sure she still has my attention.
Is this all normal?

  • I think that's normal for any puppy, no matter what the breed, my chihuahua was the same way when he was a puppy

  • probably. smaller dogs do tend to be more dependent on the owner(s) for entertainment, companionship, security.
