Peeling applique on shirt- Any suggestions?

I bought my son an outfit with an iron on applique on front. I bought it from a discount store only because he begged for it. (It had one of his fav characters on it) Well after wearing it only once, I 've notice that the applique is starting to wrinkle up and I bet it will peel off when I was it. I tried putting it in the dryer in attempt to kind of "set it" with heat, but that didn't work. Does anyone know how I can prevent this shirt from being ruined after only one wash?

  • I agree using fabric glue or the applique iron on paper. If you can cut it and iron it on under the part that is coming up.
