1 Bump

Toddler with diarrhea adult content

My DD is 23 months old and has had diarrhea for the last 3 days. She's staying hydrated and thankfully it's not frequent, just about twice a day, but really yucky looking! Does this warrant a trip to the doctor or should I just keep an eye on her fluid intake? She has been a little lethargic, but everything else is pretty normal.

  • After 3 days, I would say take her to the doctor.

  • yogurt will help, I wouldn't take my child to the dr. if there wasn't anything else going on and the diarrhea wasn't constant.

  • IF she appears to become more lethargic I would take her in for sure. Otherwise make sure she stays hydrated and give her things like bananas,& yogurt those will help

  • I would just make sure she keeps drinking water/juices, etc. If she stops drinking or gets really lethargic (use your momma sense!), bring her in for sure! My dr has recommeded Jell-o, popsicles, kool-aid, anything to get some liquids in their little tummies when they don't have much of an apetite. Sounds like she might just have the touch of some bug :(
