OMG!! 6yos boys!!!! are they really deaf??? (a vent, mostly!)

(no offense to any hearing-impaireds.)
my gosh, i get so tired of repeating myself to my ds! is he just trying to piss me off by saying, ''huh?''..after i've repeated myself more than once?
if i've said, ''you heard me, jack!'' one time, i've said it a million.
can anyone relate??

  • my 3 year old does that to me. it gets annoying. shes too young to be acting like that, she knows very well what shes doing and knows it annoys me lol.. but its part of being a parent.

  • Selective hearing I think all males have it. lol Try saying do you want some icecream ( or something like that) right after you say it bet he'll hear the icecream part. lol.

  • LOL my daughter who is now 7 is like this too...
    her preschool teachers, kindergarten teacher and this year her grade 1 teacher have all asked me if i have ever gotten her hearing checked...and they give me a referral to go...3 times we have been..every time it comes back perfect..LOL the hearing dr said she just has "selective hearing" LOL so yesss..im totally with you on this!

  • I hate trying to get my 6 yr old son to talk to me and listen to me, and there is nothing wrong with his hearing because he hears everything else just not me
