2 yr old always makes himself poop on potty... adult content

Even when he doesnt have to poop, he will strain until he does. He get really proud when he does number 2 and so I think hes going for that effect...But how do I explain he doesnt have to push so hard to go? I dont want him to hurt his butt doin all thing straining...ya know? Other times he can go easily when he needs to go...So is it just my son? How do I get him to know just peeing is acceptable and he doesnt HAVE to poop EVERY time??

  • Maybe don't make such a big deal about praising/rewarding him when he poops. Just say good job.

  • We didnt actually...when he peed we clapped and said 'Awesome dude! shake it and flush." left it at that. He just likes doing it. No idea why...
