Why are we taught "thouh shalt not judge"

but yet our entire fate (to live or to die in eternity in heaven or hell) depends entirely on judgement day?

that's not leading by example, i dont get it

one day, today is supposed to be a thousands days of judgement
and after 5 months, god will destroy everyone else

sounds cruel, can anyone help me understand?

  • Thats a false assessment. We are taught to judge. God doesnt want us to walk around like morons. All the Bible really says is we will be judged according to the way we judge others. It doesnt say we CANNOT judge.
Matt. 7:1 "Do not judge, or you too will be judged."

1Cor. 6:2-3 Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases? Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life!

John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

  • Judgement is God's place not ours. Eventually I believe we will all be judged by God based on our choices. It's not like your fate is decided only by one day, but by your entire life. The whole idea of the rapture today and the end of the world in 5 months has been designed by a man, not by God.

  • Meh, it's just words, doesn't mean anything. BUT if you really want to know, only GOD has teh right to judge
