  • 6 months. The AAP recommends waiting until 6 months because introducing it sooner could lead to developing food allergies.

  • Nothing but breast milk (or formula) for the first 6 months. That is what we did! There are no benefits to starting before 6 months, but there are risks to starting too early, so why not just wait?

  • Four months for both of them. But, I made/make baby food for them instead of the jarred stuff.

  • At about 2 months with the first 2, then the third was happy just nursing for the first 9 months. It really depends on the child, some have much bigger appetites than others and need something more than breastmilk or formula a bit earlier than others. I, personally, went by the childs needs, as in, if breastmilk or formula isn't meeting the need and they are ALWAYS hungry....feed em food.

  • About 5 mos with DD (because I didn't know any different) and about 8 mos with DS, but he wasn't very interested, and didn't eat solids on a regular basis until 11 mos.

  • I was told by my ped to introduce cereal at 4 months....WAY TOO EARLY! He wasn't ready and actually didn't start really eating until around 8 months. I know...crazy. I would wait till around 6/7ish months to introduce it.
