  • With my first I had supply issues... but I had way too MUCH milk, not too little. It took a long time for my supply to decrease to a reasonable amount.

But both my kids gained weight just fine, no supply issues with my second.

  • no supply issues...but i did have weight gain issues. But, i know that it was because i ate like a pig & i was lazy at the time. I also had too much milk. i had a freezer full & had to throw away tons of it.

  • I had too much, had to pinned and toss out some. I didn't have weight issues, when done. I had a hefty little baby boy. He doesn't have wright issues now. Actually needs to gain a few pounds.

  • Never had a problem with supply - nursed four children and am currently nursing the youngest two (tandem nursing).

Never had a problem with weight gain. I know you didn't ask, but just in case :D. If a doctor is concerned about weight gain, make sure your baby is being compared to BREASTFED babies. Their weight gain follows a different pattern then formula fed babies.

  • I had a supply problem with my 5th child, and she wasn't gaining enough weight. But she's a very petite little thing even since we switched over to formula at 6 months.

  • i did, my supply was low, even when i was feeding baby every hour or two. he was healthy but small, and doctor put him on formula in addition to nursing so he would gain weight faster.
