Have you or your child had an underbite ?

and no i did not mean and over bite i mean an underbite
if so what treament did you get ?

  • my husband has a huge one, they offered to restructure his jaw when he was younger (i guess break his jaw and set it so its 'normal') but his mom said no... now he has TMJ but he doesnt mind :p

  • Symptoms associated with TMJ disorders may be:

    * Biting or chewing difficulty or discomfort
    * Clicking, popping, or grating sound when opening or closing the mouth
    * Dull, aching pain in the face
    * Earache (particularly in the morning)
    * Headache (particularly in the morning)
    * Hearing loss
    * Migraine (particularly in the morning)
    * Jaw pain or tenderness of the jaw
    * Reduced ability to open or close the mouth
    * Tinnitus
    * Neck and shoulder pain
    * Dizziness

    so it not a nice thing to have

  • no but my son has the opposite problem he has an overbite and the dentist wants us to get him braces--in which we cannot afford and then also told us that he needs about $7,500 worth of work done besides--you can imagine what I told that dentist!!
