Losing weight and pregnant

I am 15 weeks pregnant and have lost over 20 pounds. I didn't lose weught with my other pregnancies and am concerned for my baby. SO far the doctor doesn't act like its a big deal. I seem to be growing a baby bump but am still very worried, has anyone else gone through this?

  • Yes, I went through the same thing with my daughter.........nearly 15 pounds in one month! I ended up going full term with no problems-the weight loss was due to my morning sickness. If you are not constantly throwing up, I would worry-but if you have morning sickness, that is why you are losing weight. If you are really concerned-seek a second opinion-good luck!

  • I lost 17 with both. if you are puking a lot of having trouble eating, ask doc for meds if you are comfie with that, and getting some IV fluidsa always made me feel a lot better for a few days. don't be scared to ask for medical support for your hypermesis

  • I lost 25lbs in total during my pregnancy. I am 34 weeks and have gained 15-20 back. So i am still atleast 5lbs under my prepregnancy weight. I never threw up though or had morning sickness just simply lost from my metabolism speeding up.
It can be beneficial as long as you were not underweight to begin with.
Just eat healthy and your body will take care of your baby,.
