dry scalp

my 3 mon old has a very very flaky and dry scalp. any suggestions?

  • mine does too. The PED said to rub baby oil all over it, and when it dries brush it off with the baby hair brush.

  • ive tryed some of the baby oil but it didnt work very well for my son, i took him to his ped doc, and she gave him a differant kind of shampoo for it, its also for babys and helps it heel and it dosent hurt the eyes either i forgot what the name of it was, cause he had it around the same age and he is now so i hope it helps..

  • rub baby oil on the scalp and allow it to soak in some, then take a fine toothed comb and that should work up the flakes for you to comb out all the way. Then wash the babies hair. I would do this at night and the next morning wash out the baby oil. Sounds like some cradle cap. Use Cetaphil to wash the baby with and use luke warm water, not too warm and not cold.
