Speratic crying - 19 month old...

Last night DS would cry hysterically on and off for several hours. I had given him mylicon for gas and I rubbed some numbing baby orajel on his gums for teething....then after 30 min...I have him a dose of IBprophen....he still cried for a couple hours after. It was awful and I dont think he has ever done this before now...not to this extent anyway. Any ideas what it could be ? :(

  • It's a phase, this is what I tell myself when babies do unexplainable things (: Sounds like you tried everything I would have. I would have to say it was teeth.

  • Could just be a mixture of things and he just wants his mommy.

  • How do you know it isn't an ear infection?

  • I'd take him to the Dr. Could be an ear infection or cutting molars

  • He is probably cutting teeth. Those molars are awful.

  • Check him all over to make sure one of your hairs isn't wrapped around something (toes, fingers, penis, etc). But it might be an ear infection or his teeth.

  • I would call the doctor's office just to be sure they think there is nothing to worry about.
