  • D oyou BF?? If you do they can go a few days without having a BM. If you FF, its okay as long as he goes every other day. When he goes, make sure it isnt hard, if it is that is a sign of constipation.
    Good luck.

  • Never be afraid to call your doc - that's what they are there for.

If your baby has gas, move their legs gently up and down.

Take temp rectally - the thermometer goes in, poop comes out!

  • It is ok for your baby to miss a bowel movement. As long as he is not fussy and not in any noticable pain it is ok. But if you are concerned enough, suppositorys work wonders. Just put it in about half way and away it comes! :)

  • No big deal, is he wetting and eating well? if yes, no big deal...just like anyone else he will poop when he is ready! BF babies take so much out of BM that sometimes there isn't any waste to pass! Gas is good, means his bowels are working just fine as long as he doesn't mind!!

  • A baby can go MANY days without pooping and it's normal and fine. A breastfed baby can up to 2 weeks without pooping (mine goes every 5-7 days) a formula fed baby usually goes more often but can go 4-5 days without a problem
