I'm getting married July 31st. I'm trying to find a suitable father/daughter song for my dad and I. But none of them seem to fit. My dad and I haven't always been close. We've had a lot of hard times and are just now working on our relationship and its just starting to build. My dad has never told me I love you...and gave me my first hug at my high school graduation. I guess when I was little he was a good dad, but I don't remember... Can someone help me out with a song that would help fit? I would really appreciate it.

  • Excuse me, but it is up to me to determine if my father will walk me down the aisle or not. thank you.

And we are, but we're just going with one of our friends who has all the equipment and giving them a play list. kind of a low budget thing.

    very nice song.

here are the lyricsI remember when you use to take me on a
Bike ride everyday on the bayou (You remember that? We were inseparable)
And I remember when you could do no wrong
You'd come home from work and I jumped in your arms when I saw you
I was so happy to see you (I was so excited, so happy to see you)

Because you loved me I overcome
And I'm so proud of what you've become
    You've given me such security
No matter what mistakes I know you're there for me
You cure my disappointments and you heal my pain
You understood my fears and you protected me
Treasure every irreplaceable memory and that's why...

I want my unborn son to be like my daddy
I want my husband to be like my daddy
There is no one else like my daddy
And I thank you for loving me

    I still remember the expr
