How much weight do you gain with your period?

When do you usually start bloating and when does it usually go away?

  • 5-7 pounds! I usually start bloating up a few days before and I'm back to normal a few days after my periods end (btw, my periods last about 8 days so that's about 12 days of bloat!). And that's when I watch my salt intake. Once it was 10lbs! Yikes!

  • Oh I didn't see the rest of the question, I start bloating about 3 days before my period and it goes away about a day or two after it starts.

  • I'm not sure when I start bloating, but the first day of my period, I weigh 3 lbs. more than I will a couple of days later.

  • I gain 3 lbs and I gain it about a week before my period starts and lose it about 1-2 days after starting.

  • It all depends on what I eat before, I can gain nothing to lose a couple pounds to gain 5 pounds. Drink a lot of water and try not to eat a lot of salt or sugar before.
