How often do you entertain at your home?

And here are some questions that go with it:

Do you like to have people over?

Do you have dinner parties, coffee hours, book clubs, pay-per-view nights, direct sales parties, game nights, kids playgroups or what?

What kinds of food and drinks - if any - do you serve?

  • We have our best friends over every weekend to bbq & hang out. we have the biggest house & yard out of everyone so its just natural we all converge here. We do "movie & game" nights. Everyone brings a game and we all split up and play them while watching a movie, Thats fun for us because we all have a butt ton of kids LOL. For food we usually do typical bbq stuff, Ribs, burgers, dogs, kielbasa etc. sides we do chips, salads, grilled veggies. We also make sure we have snacks on hand for later in the night, popsicles, ice cream & toppings for sundaes. Me & the ladies go shopping on fridays and split the cost of the food.:)

  • We entertain a fair amount in the warm weather months -- mostly because we have a large yard and a pool and spa/hot tub. I have some pretty nice plastic glasses and dishes for poolside use (no breakables outside). We usually serve fun drinks at the beginning of the party, and then non-alcoholic drinks toward the end (so people can be nice and sober for the drive home). We usually serve a platter of cheeses, lots of fruits (from nearby orchards) and a variety of grilled stuff appetizer style; finishing with a couple of desserts. I also keep extra beach towels for guests who don't bring their own, and fun Shower Smoothies (from Ulta) in the guest bathroom.

Beyond that, Thanksgiving is the only regular entertaining we do.

  • We usually just have friends over. Sometimes there are pay per view events that a lot of people come over for. We usually just have finger foods.

  • Do you like to have people over? We do like to have people over on occasion.

Do you have dinner parties, coffee hours, book clubs, pay-per-view nights, direct sales parties, game nights, kids playgroups or what? Mostly dinner parties and pool party/bbq's in the Summer.

What kinds of food and drinks - if any - do you serve? All types of stuff.....wine, sangria, beer, bottled water, Shirley Temples, soda, ziti, veggie platters, Filet Mignon, lobster, pasta salads, rice & beans....really depends on the occasion. I do like to go all out though.
