So...if you teach your children the "true" meaning of Christmas...

...how exactly do you explain it to them? Besides, telling them that it's when we celebrate Jesus's birthday. How do you explain the gifts under the tree, three wisemen...etc?

  • We teach our kids that we exchange gifts with people...because we're thankful for the gift God gave us when He gave us His son. They know that the three wisemen came to find Jesus to bring him gifts as well. My kids are still pretty young so there's no need to deep explanation...not that it really gets much deeper anyways.

  • I teach my kids all the true meanings of christmas. December 25th is the day we celebrate Jesus's Birth. We give gifts because of Saint Nicholas. He gave gifts to all the children to share with them the love of christ. We contiue on his tradition of giving.
