Is it normal for a 10 month old to have 5 teeth

my son is 10 months old and already have 5 teeth. is that normal?

  • It really varies from child to child. For my older 2 kids - no they might have had 4. My youngest - definitely. He got his first teeth in a full 2 months earlier than his sibs. Started losing them earlier and faster too.

  • that's not very many teeth at all lol. most kids have more than that (don't get me wrong....some actually have less, but most have more than that).

  • it varies on the child. my son got his first teeth at 2 months old and my nephew didnt get any until he was 7 months old. 5 teeth for a 10 month old is perfectly fine. dont worry he will get them all sooner or later.

  • My got got 2 teeth at 4 months old, then nothing until he was 11 months old. My daughter didn't get her first tooth until she was almost 12 months old.
