Preemie Eye Problems

DD was born at 31 weeks and has been seeing an Ophthalmologist yearly because of some eye problem that is common for preemies.

She's 5 now and there has never been a problem with her eyes. Each and every time we are sent away being told that everything is fine and to see them next year.

For those of you who has been through this...Is this going to forever be a yearly thing or will these appointments end at some point with no more worry of eye problems?
