Looking for a good diet for ADHD, and Autistic child, any suggestions?

I know a good diet can do alot , and I am trying to see if any of you may have a certain diet for your ADHD kid.I know it would help to take out some things from his diet and was wondering if you could help me out?

  • Gluten Free Casein Free diets work well for a lot of families and works for us. We went to a naturopathic doctor and did testing and everything. My son is autistic with some ADHD and he is recovered now. He is in general education and receiving no additional services anymore! We don't go to occupational therapy anymore either. It was all done with natural medicine and early interventions! If you have questions, let me know :)

  • BTW GF diets are commonly used among families with autism, but our naturopath said that food allergies are usually the source of ADHD issues.

  • i took out LAKE dyes (red 40, yellow 5, blue 1 - are the most common)
after i took these out, daughter stopped smashing her head, made more eye contact, and her rash went away=red 40 her biggest
also i stopped having migraines?! i did eat a bunch with red 40 a few months later and i then got three day headache

also took out BHA, BHT, TBHQ, MSG=all perservatives
    no artifical sweetners

now i have added fish oil (the last week and a half-but she is acting weird-possibly from toxins that can be in this ot she is detoxing-i have no idea and do not have a DAN doctor to help me)

    i will be messaging CJM_SHM

when my daughter has gotten red 40 from eating when i was no around, in liquid i can see crazy wild behavior in 2 hours, if food takes 10-12 hours

no red 40!! - and not just in red colored foods
