Does cheese constipate people? Pregnancy craving and I dont want to overdue it and become constipated.

  • Any dairy can, but so can other foods. You need fiber to help your digestive system. That's why they say everything in moderation.

  • I hear that it can all the time, but it does the opposite for me and my DH. I think it depends on your body.

  • I know a large consumption of cheese can definitely constipate you, I'm preggo and crave cheese also lol

  • Yes, but also be aware that any calcium without the proper amount of magnesium in the diet will not only cause constipation but will make the calcium you get ineffective. The body can't absorb calcium and do its job unless it has the proper balance of magnesium to go with it. Magnesium will help your body absorb the calcium and keep you regular.
