MEDICAL INSURANCE QUESTION...

I HAVE MEDICAL ALONG WITH MY DAUGHTER I LIVE WITH MY MOTHER WHEN I HAD MY DAUGHTER MY BABYS DADDY MOVED IN BUT MEDICAL HAS A RECORD OF AN ABSENT FATHER .. HE WANTS TO APPLY FOR MEDICAL TOO COULD THEY ALLOW HIM TO GET IT WITHOUT HARMING MY DAUGHTER OR MY MEDICAL? HE ALSO WANT TO CLAIM OUR DAUGHTER ON HIS TAXIS COULD MEDICAL FIND OUT HE DOES HAVE TO DO WITH US EVEN THOUGH MEDICAL KNOWS HE SUPPOSABLY DONT LIVE OR HELP ME AT ALL AND AFFECT US WITH OUR INSURANSE?

  • Are you talking about medicaid? or medical insurance? If you're talking about medicaid- then yes, him claiming her on his taxes proves that you lied about an "absent father". You could end up having to pay all that back to the state. And if you have food stamps too you'll have to pay that back and lose them for good. If you're talking about regular insurance.. they don't care if she has a father or not.. you're paying for the insurance and they're getting money. Your best bet is to claim her yourself and "split the MOney" with him. If you don't you'll both being paying what your daughter has cost the state. If he insists tell him that you will go to the courts and the will make you both pay half.
