If you quit smoking after you found out your pregnant....

can it cause stress on the baby? im abiout 7 weeks and just quit smoking and im afriad of withdraw! help?

  • my aunt stoped smoking and she said it didnt harm or stress baby out as far as the doc said

  • It really depends on how much you smoked a day. If you smoked 2 packs a day, then you should gradually wean yourself off to reduce stress.

    I only smoked about 1/2 pack a day and quit cold turkey.

  • I quit When It was all confirmed ! Goodluck .. It was never hard for me to actually quit when I was Pregnant NOW when i quit While not Preggo Was a different Story VER HARD indeed

  • My mom smoked during all 4 of her pregnanies and we all turned out fine. Im not saying that it isnt harmful or that you should do it...but i think smoking for the first 7 weeks would be ok. I quit smoking as soon as I found out I was pregnant...about 4 weeks.

  • no it will be hard on you but for the baby it is good and the baby isnt getting fumes.try talking to your dr my dr told me to do other things when i think about smoking try eating hard candy,gum Ect..... Good luck
